Arnold Shokouhi

Arnold Shokouhi is an equity owner and Managing Partner for McCathern, Shokouhi, Evans. Arnold’s multi-state practice focuses on complex commercial disputes across a broad range of industries, with a particular focus on banking, director and officer liability, health care, and entertainment industries. When the stakes are high, businesses often call upon Arnold to help litigate these matters and protect their interests.

As Managing Partner, Arnold has spearheaded the firm’s expansion by opening offices in Houston, Los Angeles, and Frisco. He has worked closely with the management of the firm to expand the vision and brand of McCathern by increasing practice sections that have a synergy with the firm’s existing business. Arnold believes in McCathern’s mission of Improving People’s Lives and attempts to incorporate this into every aspect of his work.

Arnold’s experience handling transactional matters has given him the unique ability to filter through the intricacies of complex commercial litigation matters. He has played a critical role in the litigation of multi-million dollar disputes between billion dollar corporations. For example, Arnold took the lead role for Cowboys Stadium, L.P. in the litigation involving highly publicized suite lawsuits at Cowboys Stadium. His experiences enable him to represent both small and large clients in the commercial and employment litigation arenas. Arnold follows the belief that there is no small client or matter, and he handles all client matters with the utmost diligence and importance.

Arnold was raised in Austin, Texas and moved to the Dallas area in 1999 to attend Southern Methodist University. Arnold received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Consulting (a hybrid finance/accounting degree) from the Cox School of Business in 2003. He received his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, where he earned a certificate of concentration in corporate law.

Arnold was licensed to practice law by the state of Texas in 2006, the state of California in 2011, and the state of New York in 2022. He is licensed to practice law in all of the United States District Courts in both Texas and California. Arnold is a member of the Mortgage Banking Association (MBA), the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), Dallas Bar Association (DBA), and Dallas Young Lawyers Association (DYLA). He is also a Fellow of the prestigious Texas Bar Foundation. Nominations to the Foundation are extended to only one-third of one percent of Texas attorneys each year before the nominees are then reviewed by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Arnold was selected to D CEO’s signature special publication, the 2025 Dallas 500, which profiles the most influential North Texas executives. He received this honor in recognition of his leadership as Managing Partner for McCathern, Shokouhi, Evans. Arnold was named to the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars® list from 2013 to 2021 and in 2021 he was named to the Up-And-Coming 100: 2021 Texas Rising Stars List. In 2023 and 2024, he was selected to the Texas Super Lawyers® list for Business Litigation. Additionally, Arnold was named by D Magazine as a Dallas Best Lawyer from 2014 to 2017, 2024 and 2025 for Banking & Finance and Business/Commercial Litigation. He was also selected by Texas Lawyer as one of 20 Texas attorneys named to 2015 Extraordinary Minorities in Texas Law. In 2017, Super Lawyers magazine featured Arnold in an article called ‘The Other Arnold‘. In 2024, D CEO told Arnold’s story in its monthly “Roots” feature, which highlights North Texas business leaders who immigrated to the region, in an article called ‘How One Decision by Arnold Shokouhi’s Mother Changed His Family’s Life Forever‘.
