A native of Texas, Mr. Sanford graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1982, and then earned his Juris Doctor at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1986. Since then, he has advocated for clients in the Dallas metropolitan area, and across the state of Texas. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, the Supreme Court of Texas and the United States Supreme Court.
A published author, Mr. Sanford participates in the legal community through his memberships with the Dallas Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Law, and Business Litigation sections; the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law, and Litigation sections; the National Employment Lawyers Association; and the State Bar of Texas. He is currently a board member of the Texas Employment Law Association, and serves as treasurer of that organization.
When Mr. Sanford is not practicing law, he spends time with his wife and daughters. He also sings with the Dallas Symphony Chorus and with the choir at his church.
