Britney E. Harrison’s family law practice is characterized by an outstanding commitment to service and skillful protection of client interests. Her personal approach, combined with a strategic methodology honed by years of commercial litigation experience, allows her to meet the full range of clients’ needs as they face complex family law challenges. She offers focused experience in contentious custody cases, complex property division, high-net-worth divorce, and family law matters involving LGBTQIA+ couples.
As a partner at the firm of Calabrese Budner, Britney’s success rate has earned her the respect of peers and clients alike, leading to numerous awards and distinctions. Besides her ranking on the Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists, she has been named among Best Lawyers Under 40 by D Magazine. She was also appointed by the President of the State Bar of Texas to serve as the inaugural Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Standing Committee, was elected to serve on the State Bar Board of Directors representing District 6, and was recently appointed to the Texas Bar Journal Board of Editors Committee.Â
Britney has served as President of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, and she continues to mentor and empower the next generation of legal professionals through her participation in the organization.
She also serves as a Fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation and is an active member of the Dallas Bar Association’s Family Law Section, the Family Law and African American Lawyers Sections of the State Bar of Texas, the Annette Stewart American Inn of Court, and the J.L. Turner Legal Association. In addition, she has shared her expertise on professionalism, client intake, and electronic discovery through presentations at the State Bar of Texas’ Advanced Family Law Seminar and Marriage Dissolution Institute.
The achievement that she finds most rewarding, however, is one that exemplifies her attitude of service and dedication. Out of all her accomplishments, Britney is most proud of putting her dad through college.
