Bryan D. Pope is the founder of The CRPS Law Firm, a partner at The Cochran Firm and the co-founder of the national firm’s office in Dallas, Texas. He focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, and he represents clients throughout the greater metropolitan area. Admitted to practice in Texas since 1993, Mr. Pope is additionally admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas.
Mr. Pope’s client base is comprised of people who have been significantly harmed as a result of the negligence of other parties. Many of them have incurred what is variously referred to as complex regional pain syndrome, formerly called reflex sympathetic dystrophy, which is prolonged pain that is caused by an injury to a leg or an arm. The incidents that Mr. Pope has handled that have given rise to this type of ailment as well as other types of physical and emotional harm have included truck and other motor vehicle crashes, workplace accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice and nursing home neglect.
During his distinguished career, Mr. Pope has obtained millions of dollars in compensation for his clients through both jury awards after a trial and settlements that he has been able to negotiate out of court with defendants and their insurers. His fellow attorneys have taken note of his successful track record as well as the high quality of his work and ethics, and they have awarded him an “Excellent” peer review rating through Avvo.
Mr. Pope majored in history at Southern Methodist University and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1989. He remained on campus and enrolled at the SMU Dedman School of Law, and in 1993, he was awarded his Juris Doctor. Mr. Popes’ professional affiliations include his serving as President of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, and as an officer and board of director of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He currently serves as a Governor on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice.
