Details
Serving clients throughout Texas, Clint Schumacher CRE is a partner at Dawson & Sodd, LLP. He handles eminent domain claims on behalf of property owners, as well as complex commercial and energy litigation cases. He has been granted the prestigious and exclusive designation of Counselor of Real Estate due to his skill in leading clients through difficult real estate problems.
Mr. Schumacher is known for being an advocate who can see what others do not. When public projects threaten a property, Mr. Schumacher has the ability to minimize the potential impacts of the event or secure maximum compensation for the owner. He is especially proficient in highway projects. Prior to working at this law firm, he represented parties involved in a variety of transit projects in north and east Texas. Over the last two decades, he has successfully represented investment firms, Fortune 500 companies, developers, families, international hotel chains, and individual investors.
Some of his most impressive victories include a $21.5 million judgment issued against a large gas producer. He also secured several jury verdicts against the state of Texas in multiple condemnation cases. For these accomplishments and others, Mr. Schumacher has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America.
Outside of working for clients, Mr. Schumacher is also devoted to helping other people learn their rights. He hosts “The Eminent Domain Podcast” and is a sought-after speaker.
In 1994, Mr. Schumacher graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Abilene Christian University. He then attended The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor in 1997.
Mr. Schumacher’s professional involvement includes memberships in the Dallas Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. He is also a high school football coach and a member of the Texas High School Coaches Association and the American Football Coaches Association.
