Attorney David R. Gibson is the managing partner of The Gibson Law Group in Dallas, Texas. A top-ranked trial lawyer with 30 years of total legal experience, Mr. Gibson provides unmatched counsel and support to a diverse range of clients across his region who have legal needs involving any of the following:

·       Commercial debt collections

·       Contracts and business support

·       Business and commercial litigation

·       Commercial and consumer fraud

·       Commercial real estate matters, including landlord/tenant issues

Among his most notable successes representing the rights and interests of his clients, Mr. Gibson secured a $12 million judgment for a client in a case where the opposing party purportedly tried to steal the plaintiff's printing business through fraudulent transactions and documents. This award stands as the largest ever awarded in the state for this type of case. Mr. Gibson also secured a judgment of more than $8 million for a client defrauded by unscrupulous securities brokers.

Moreover, Mr. Gibson has secured many other substantial awards at trial and through arbitration for his clients, netting millions of dollars in total compensation for those victimized by the unlawful and questionable business practices of others. Honored for his success, he has earned consistent designation from his peers as being among the top 5% of trial lawyers in his region, and he has received many testimonials and referrals from his satisfied clients.

A 1987 graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, Mr. Gibson obtained his Juris Doctor with honors and with a concentration in advocacy from Cornell Law School in 1991. While there, he served as executive editor of the International Law Journal, and he was the winner of the First Year Moot Court Competition. He also worked at the school's legal aid clinic.

Mr. Gibson received his license to practice from the State Bar of Texas in 1991, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Northern District of California and the District of Arizona. He also holds his admission to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Gibson is a member of the State Bar of Texas Judicial Section. He is also past director of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association and former master with the William ‘Mac’ Taylor American Inn of Court. He is also a Life Fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation.
