Edward Dimare Vassallo, Jr., founded the law firm of Vassallo & Salazar, P.C., in his native city of Dallas, Texas, where he represents business owners and local corporations in all forms of commercial litigation, including torts, contract disputes and business fraud. He also practices real estate law, which includes issues related to eminent domain, zoning, planning and land use, condemnation and inverse condemnation. Although the firm is in Dallas, Mr. Vassallo serves clients throughout the State of Texas.

Two years after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University in 1967, Mr. Vassallo earned a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University - Dedman School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi and served as chief justice of the Moot Court for the Order of the Barristers. Admitted to practice in Texas, Mr. Vassallo is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Mr. Vassallo is a member of the American Bar Association, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. From 1988 to 1996, he was a member of the Grievance Committee for the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Vassallo is very active in the legal community and has served as an author and lecturer on the subjects of state and federal eminent domain, environmental liability and federal condemnation at several conferences and continuing legal education courses.
