Jack R. Hales, Jr.

Jack R. Hales Jr., a partner at Hales & Sellers, PLLC, has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2015. Avidly serving the residents of Dallas, Texas, he primarily focuses on estate planning and probate law matters. He represents executors, fiduciaries and beneficiaries in both uncontested and contested estate and trust cases. He also addresses concerns related to funeral home negligence, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate assistance to injured families. 

Mr. Hales is a board-certified attorney in estate planning and probate law, granted by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Before pursuing his legal career, he achieved certification as a Registered Tax Return Preparer, adding valuable skill to his practice.

Mr. Hales earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Texas A&M University in 2011. He continued his legal education at Baylor Law School and obtained his J.D. in 2015. While studying law, he was part of the Order of Barristers and represented his law school in various Moot Court Competitions, such as the National Moot Court Competition and the Sutherland Cup Moot Court Competition. He also won the champion title and was acknowledged as the top speaker in the Strasburger & Price Moot Court Competition. 

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Hales has accumulated valuable experience by working with various Texas-based firms before assuming his current role at the present firm. Additionally, he holds membership in the State Bar of Texas – Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section, the Dallas Bar Association, and the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. He is also a participant in the Dallas Probate Inn of Court and has been recognized as the 2022 South Trailblazer by The American Lawyer.
