    • Represents medical billing and practice management plaintiffs in a trade secret misappropriation, tortious interference, and breach of contract case. The plaintiffs’ former employee left to work for another business and used trade secret and confidential information to solicit clients. The defendants, the former employee, and his current employer, filed a motion to dismiss under the Texas Citizens Participation Act, claiming that their tortious conduct was related to their rights of free speech and association. In a virtual hearing before the Fifth Court of Appeals, the court denied the motion to dismiss., 2020
    • Represents Galderma in Truinect Corp. v. Nestle Skin Health SA et al., a rival lawsuit over patented facial injection technology. A U.S. District Court of Delaware entered a Memorandum Order adopting the Magistrate Judge’s previous recommendations to grant five motions to dismiss filed on behalf of all nine Defendants.  The Chief Judge dismissed all of Truinject’s claims against Nestle Skin Health S.A. and each of the five individual Defendants, dismissed six of the claims against Galderma S.A. and Galderma Labs, and dismissed six of the claims against Nestle Skin Health, Inc., 2020
    • Lead trial counsel in a jury trial in which the jury unanimously found violations of the Texas Theft Liability Act, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud. Our client was awarded damages, exemplary damages, and attorneys’ fees in Romano Group LLC v. Wilson.The case was named among the top 100 Verdicts in Texas in 2016 as well as one of the top five fraud verdicts in Texas in 2016., 2016
    • Lead trial counsel in a jury trial where the client, a consulting firm, sought tortious interference, antitrust, trade secret misappropriation, and breach of contract damages against a pest control franchise and its franchisees in Galt Strategies, LLC vs. Critter Control, Inc.  The franchisees settled prior to trial, and the jury found liability and damages for tortious interference against the franchisor and its founder. The case settled while on appeal., 2017
    • Obtained a unanimous jury verdict in favor of Texas Advanced Optoelectronic Solutions, Inc. on claims of trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract, patent infringement and tortious interference. The Jury awarded $88.8 million in compensatory and exemplary damages and found that the patent infringement was willful., 2015
    • Represented the County of Dallas in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and on appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court in a Voting Rights Act challenge brought by the Texas Democratic Party.
    • Represented a publicly-traded company in five patent infringement actions relating to vending machines in the district court and on appeal to the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.  The Federal Circuit reversed the preliminary injunction entered by the trial court.
    • Obtained summary judgment of non-infringement for Fortune 50 company in action brought by a non-practicing entity (NPE) in the Eastern District of Texas in connection with website technology, which was affirmed by the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
