Working at Kaplan Law Group, PLLC, in Dallas, Texas, Jane Cherry approaches real estate and corporate litigation with a focused, analytical mindset. Serving the entire DFW Metro Area, she prioritizes deep factual preparation and early risk assessment to resolve complex commercial disputes efficiently. By thoroughly evaluating contracts, property titles and corporate structures from the outset, she develops proactive strategies designed to protect her clients' business interests and secure advantageous outcomes before litigation escalates needlessly.
When disputes progress to court or appellate review, her strategy shifts to persuasive, evidence-based advocacy. Ms. Cherry leverages her strong legal writing and judicial internship background to draft rigorous appellate briefs and present compelling arguments before trial and appellate judges. Whether untangling intricate real estate conflicts or navigating high-stakes corporate disagreements across North Texas, she remains dedicated to delivering clear, pragmatic counsel and steadfast protection of her clients' commercial and property rights.
Ms. Cherry earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. During her studies, she served as managing editor for the journal of air law and commerce under the SMU Law Review and honed her litigation skills in moot court and mock trial advocacy competitions. She also gained valuable judicial experience interning for U.S. District Court Judge Robert Dawson and Texas Fifth Court of Appeals Justice Kerry FitzGerald.
Her strong academic foundation began at Wake Forest University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in political science and a minor in international studies. Admitted to the state bar in 2013, Ms. Cherry has been licensed to practice law in Texas for over a decade. Her rigorous legal education and early exposure to appellate and federal jurisprudence continue to inform her insightful, thorough approach to serving her clients today.
