    As a partner and founder of Dallas, Texas-based litigation firm Deans Stepp Law, LLP, Katherine Stepp serves a broad client base in Dallas and across the nation in challenging civil litigation cases. Ms. Stepp focuses her practice mainly in the areas of complex civil litigation, commercial litigation, and personal injury. With substantial experience in trials by both judge and jury, she represents clients with needs in toxic torts, premises liability, oil and gas litigation, banking litigation renewable resources, products liability and wrongful death with vigor and insight.

    After completing her law degree at Southern Methodist University School of Law, at which she was highly active as the programs director for the Student Bar Association and garnered the college's Master Advocate Award, Ms. Stepp worked for the Dallas firm of Beirne, Maynard & Parsons, LLP. She joined Deans & Lyons in 2008. She has been admitted to the Texas Bar, the four U.S. District Courts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. She co-founded Deans Stepp Law with her law partner of many years, Gregory L. Deans, in 2020. 

    Well-respected by her peers, Ms. Stepp has published articles, including topics such as geothermal energy, settlement offers and evidentiary issues.
