Kelli Bills serves as of counsel at Tillotson, Johnson & Patton, where she focuses her legal practice on complex appellate litigation across multiple jurisdictions. With almost fifteen years of appellate experience, she has been an integral member of teams handling some of the more high-profile appellate cases across Texas and beyond. Her passion for persuasive writing has been instrumental in representing clients throughout all litigation stages. Ms. Bills is also an accomplished oral advocate, with experience in courts at both the federal and state levels.
Prior to joining Tillotson, Johnson & Patton, Ms. Bills was a member of the appellate practice group at another private firm and served as a clerk for the Honorable Catharina Haynes on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. She graduated with high honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was a Chancellor, a member of the Order of the Coif, and a member of the Order of Barristers. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas as well, where she graduated with Highest Honors and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
Recently, Chambers and Partners recognized Ms. Bills as Up and Coming in Appellate Litigation in Texas for 2024, a testament to her growing influence and effectiveness in appellate law circles.
