Among her most notable successes, she served as lead counsel in a case involving patent infringement, breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation and tortious interference, and she helped secure a verdict of more than $88 million for her affected client.

Early in her legal career, Ms. Chen gained significant experience with international trade and export/import compliance, cross-border transactions, and franchise and distribution law. A certified public accountant as well as an attorney, she has also handled numerous tax-related issues for both domestic and international clients, and she has a unique ability to completely analyze her clients' financial matters and deliver quality solutions to help them recover the full amount of damages they deserve.

In recognition for her exemplary professionalism and exceptional legal abilities, Ms. Chen has earned numerous awards and honors from her peers, including a Best Lawyers Under 40 designation from the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and a Top 40 Under 40 designation from the Dallas Business Journal. In addition, she received the Women in Law 2016 Award from Lawyer Monthly magazine along with the Lawyer on the Rise Professional Excellence Award from the Texas Lawyer.

After graduating cum laude from the University of Texas in 2004 with a B.B.A. and an M.P.A., Ms. Chen studied abroad at the East China University of Political Science and Law before returning to the U.S. to pursue her legal degree. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2007.

Ms. Chen is admitted to practice in Texas and the District of Columbia, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th and Federal Circuits, and the U.S. Court of International Trade. A leader in her legal community, she is the former Secretary and Director of the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, and she has served as co-chair to several committees with the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.

In addition, Ms. Chen is a member of the American Bar Association, the Texas State Bar and the Dallas Bar Association. She is also a Barrister with the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court and the Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn American Inn of Court, as well as a Life Fellow with the Dallas Bar Foundation.
