Mr. Harris' journey in law began at the Dallas County district attorney’s office, where he cut his teeth prosecuting misdemeanors like DWI, family violence assaults, thefts and marijuana possession. His talents soon led him to the Felony Division, where he handled grave cases such as capital murder, aggravated robbery, sexual assaults and more. He also dedicated two years to the Felony Family Violence Unit, where he not only tried numerous family violence cases but also collaborated with police officers, teaching them investigative techniques at the Police Academy. He further served as deputy chief, overseeing and mentoring prosecutors in Dallas County's misdemeanor family violence courts.

Transitioning to the Tarrant County district attorney’s office, Mr. Harris expanded his prosecutorial insights across the Trinity River. There, he continued to take on high-stakes cases and became adept at presenting them to the grand jury. With over 150 jury trials under his belt, he brings a wealth of experience to every stage of legal proceedings, from initial consultation and investigation to trial preparation and courtroom representation, ensuring top-notch advocacy for his clients.

Mr. Harris' academic foundation was laid at Abilene Christian University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in 2000. He then received a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2003.
