Larry F. Taylor, Jr.

Larry F. Taylor Jr. is the managing partner at The Cochran Firm in Dallas, Texas. He focuses his practice on personal injury litigation and has over 11 years of experience practicing law. He represents clients throughout the state of Texas with matters such as automobile accidents, truck accidents and wrongful death, and also takes on criminal defense cases. 

Mr. Taylor is dedicated to providing top-notch representation to his clients. With a genuine concern for his clients, he understands the emotional and financial consequences of personal injury matters. Mr. Taylor provides effective and aggressive advocacy for those who have experienced considerable losses after being injured by the negligence and carelessness of other individuals. 

Mr. Taylor has a bachelor’s degree from the Texas A&M University and earned his Juris Doctor from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, where he was among the board of regents. Before joining law school, he was an investment banker and a financial strategist for small-business owners. 

Prior to joining The Cochran Firm, Mr. Taylor was an assistant district attorney for the Dallas County District Attorney and director of outreach for the 30th Congressional District for U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson. Mr. Taylor is admitted to practice in the states of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Mr. Taylor is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association of Justice, the Dallas Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Oklahoma State Bar Association and the State Bar of New Mexico. 

Actively involved in his community, Mr. Taylor serves in the Martin Luther King Family Clinic and Los Barrios Unidos Community Clinic, both of which provide health care to Hispanic and African American communities in Dallas. He has served among the boards of several NGOs, including the advisory committee for DOORS, Operation Oasis and Faith & Philanthropy Institute. Mr. Taylor also helps ex-offenders and their families find network opportunities, and coaches youth sports teams in his area.

In honor of the exceptional service he provides, he was selected for inclusion in the list of 2013 Top 40 Under 40 Lawyers. He was also named to the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers. In 2009, Mr. Taylor was honored by the Dallas office of Texas Workforce Commission for his exceptional work in creating job opportunities and providing economic empowerment.
