Attorney Michael S. Byrd is a partner with ByrdAdatto, PLLC, a business and health care law firm in Dallas, Texas. A former business litigator, Mr. Byrd now devotes most of his practice to counseling doctors, dentists, business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals and public figures on matters related to business and health care law. He often serves as outside counsel for businesses in the health care industry, helping them prepare for and respond to legal challenges. He represents clients in the Dallas area and nationwide.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Byrd went on to earn his law degree at Texas Tech University School of Law. While a law student, he served as an associate editor for the school's law review.

Today, Mr. Byrd is admitted to practice law in Texas state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.

His accomplishments have earned Mr. Byrd a number of awards and honors. The attorney peer review service Martindale-Hubbell gave him its highest rating, AV Preeminent.* D Magazine named him to its list of the best lawyers in Dallas. He has been asked to speak at a number of seminars and conferences for legal and medical professionals, delivering presentations on topics such as litigation in the business of medicine and the impact of the Affordable Care Act.

Mr. Byrd is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and serves as a board member with the LEAP Foundation, an organization that provides free medical services to needy people around the world
