Fluent in English and Spanish, she has experience working in the Child Support Division of the Office of the Attorney General and handles matters of alimony, child support, protective orders, child custody, divorce, modifications, temporary restraining orders and enforcement lawsuits. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a Spanish minor in 1999. While earning her undergraduate degree, Ms. Cruz was on the dean’s list and a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. At Texas Tech University School of Law, she earned her Juris Doctor in 2005. While in law school, she attended summer courses and gained international experience at the University of Guanajuato in Mexico.
