Attorney Profile

Attorney Olga Torres is the founder of Torres Law, an international trade law firm with offices in Dallas, Texas and Washington D.C. As the managing member of the firm, Ms. Torres offers business clients from the United States and across the globe counsel and representation for a broad range of legal matters related to international trade law. Among the firm's offerings are:

-International trade & investment law
-Imports / Customs Law
-Exports / ITAR, EAR, Census
-Sanctions law
-Industrial  security matters (CFIUS and FOCI mitigation)
-Anti-corruption compliance (FCPA)

Since the beginning of her career, Ms. Torres has focused exclusively on international trade law. As a result, she has earned an excellent reputation as a knowledgeable legal professional. In fact, her knowledge of her chosen practice area is so extensive that she has lectured on the subject both domestically and internationally, a task facilitated by the fact that she is a native Spanish speaker and by her university-level study of French.

Ms. Torres' many speaking engagements are not her greatest honor. The U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs has re-appointed her to the Defense Trade Advisory Group (DTAG) for the term 2016-2018. The DTAG advises Department of State on the regulation of defense exports governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Ms. Torres co-chairs the International Trade & Cross-Border Transactions Group of the International Lawyers Network. In addition, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia has honored her for volunteering her legal services by naming her twice to the Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll.
