For Phillip A. Linder, the legal profession is in the blood. For over 55 years, his family has served North Texas' legal community and criminal justice system. Mr. Linder adds to this legacy with over 32 years of experience representing the rights of those accused of crimes in the Dallas and North Texas area, with particular experience in federal and state white collar crime cases and complex federal conspiracy cases involving drugs or fraud.
The Texas Board of Legal Specialization has certified Mr. Linder as a criminal trial specialist , making him one of a small percentage of Texas lawyers especially suited for large felony drug conspiracy cases and capital murder cases. In addition, he has been specifically approved in federal court to handle cases designated as "complex" which applies to multi-defendant cases involving financial crimes, healthcare fraud and large drug conspiracies. Before starting his private practice, Mr. Linder worked for the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, where he handled thousands of criminal cases with over 100 of them proceeding through jury trials.
After receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1988 from Baylor University, Mr. Linder earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in 1991. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit; the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas; and several U.S. District Courts for the Districts in Washington, D.C., Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Alabama, New Mexico and Arizona.
Mr. Linder is highly respected by his peers and has been elected for various leadership positions in the legal community, including Chairman of the Dallas Area Committee for Lawyer Discipline for three years and president of the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He is currently the President of the Criminal Law section of the Dallas Bar Association for the second time. He has also been given the highest possible rating of AV-Preeminent* by Martindale-Hubbell, and has appeared in D Magazine's Best Lawyers in Texas edition multiple times. In addition, he was featured as the "Attorney of the Month" out of all of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex lawyers in Attorney at Law magazine in 2021.
