R. Brian Shields is an attorney at Shields Legal Group, located in Dallas, Texas, where he provides strategic legal counsel to businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals across a broad range of matters. His practice encompasses transactions, litigation, tax and estate planning, cybersecurity, banking and finance, Growth to Exit® strategy and outside general counsel services. Mr. Shields is known for delivering practical, business-focused guidance tailored to the needs of his clients. He works closely with companies and business owners on transactional matters, corporate strategy and risk management, while also assisting clients with tax and estate planning concerns designed to preserve and protect assets. His cybersecurity practice further reflects his commitment to helping businesses navigate evolving legal and regulatory challenges in an increasingly digital environment.

Licensed to practice in Texas since 2006, Mr. Shields is also admitted to appear before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. He remains active in the legal community through his membership in the Business Law and Corporate Counsel sections of the State Bar of Texas and the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association.

Mr. Shields earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2003. He then attended South Texas College of Law Houston, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2006. His academic background and legal training have provided the foundation for a multifaceted practice serving a wide range of clients and industries.
