Dallas-based Godwin Bowman PC Shareholder, Stefanie Major McGregor, has a legal practice which focuses on commercial litigation matters.  Ms. McGregor represents clients in both the prosecution and defense of wide ranging cases before state and federal courts. Stefanie played an important role in Godwin Bowman PC's successful defense of Halliburton Energy Services in all civil litigation and investigations in the Deepwater Horizon/Macondo matter - the largest environmental lawsuit in United States' history.  Before joining Godwin Bowman, Stefanie clerked for the Louisiana Supreme Court  and served as a Senior Research Attorney for the Court for three years.

Ms. McGregor is active in the Dallas legal community, as well as in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in general. She is a Life Fellow of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and has previously served as co-vice chairman of DAYL’s Promoting Diversity Committee. She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the J.L. Turner Legal Association. She also spends time volunteering at various charities around Dallas. While in Louisiana Stefanie was a participant in For the Kids, a volunteer reading program to enhance children's reading levels at Lafayette Elementary in New Orleans, and Street Law, where she taught inner-city middle school students about their legal rights, responsibilities, and practical legal problems.

Stefanie is a six-time recipient of Texas Rising Stars honors by Thomson Reuters and was recognized as a Super Lawyer in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
