A well-seasoned attorney with extensive experience, Steven E. Clark is an attorney with Clark ADR Services, based in Dallas, Texas. After almost 45 years of practice as a civil litigator in business law, labor and employment law, and construction litigation, he focuses on offering mediation and arbitration services for dispute resolution.
After enrolling at Southern Methodist University for his undergraduate degree, Mr. Clark obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science and government from the University of Houston in 1974. Later, he secured his doctorate in jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center and graduated in the top 10% of his class.
Even before opening his own private practice, Mr. Clark spent several years clerking at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and working with other Texas firms gaining experience in business, employment and labor law. Since 1980, he has been practicing civil, business and commercial litigation in and around the regions of Dallas and Fort Worth. He is admitted to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits, and all the federal courts in Texas.
Over the decades, Mr. Clark has handled complex and sophisticated matters of trademark disputes, trade secrets, post-employment covenants and more. Helping high-profile clients with the purchase and sales of their businesses, drafting agreements and contracts, and representing companies in audits, he has gained in-depth knowledge and insights on business and partnership matters that enable him to practice alternative dispute resolution matters efficiently. Compared to the cost and time taken up by litigation, he is able to save his clients’ time and resources through his negotiation, mediation and arbitration practice.
A well-respected member of the Texas legal community, Mr. Clark has been peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell. Licensed in Louisiana and Texas, he has also received a “Superb” rating on Avvo.
*AV®, AV Preeminent®, Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished and Martindale-Hubbell Notable are certification marks used under license in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies.
