Mr. Williamson graduated with his Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University in 1996. He then commenced his legal studies at what was then known as Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, graduating with his Juris Doctor in 1999.

Following law school, Mr. Williamson served as the first assistant district attorney for the 271st Judicial District, encompassing Jack and Wise counties. While there, he prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases. His experience as a prosecutor allowed him to hone his litigation skills, something that has benefited his clients in private practice. Mr. Williamson is board-certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and in criminal trial law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Admitted to practice before all Texas and Oklahoma state courts, Mr. Williamson is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Dedicated to his community, Mr. Williamson is a member of the Bridgeport Education Foundation and the Runaway Bay Economic Development Corporation.
