Sostenes Mireles II is the founder and principal of Sostenes Mireles II, PLLC, located in Del Rio, Texas. Mr. Mireles attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. In 2003, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law and was admitted to practice in Texas that same year. From 2004 to 2005, he worked as an assistant district attorney at the Office of the Criminal District Attorney in Hays County, Texas, where he gained experience in criminal cases involving DWI and domestic violence charges. He then joined an established firm in the Del Rio area. Mr. Mireles opened his own firm in 2007, and has represented clients before both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Mireles has acted as first chair on twelve criminal jury trials at the federal level and more than 35 of such cases at the state level. He has also worked more than 100 civil and criminal bench trials. In addition to his practice, Mr. Mireles has also maintained memberships in a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the Val Verde County Bar Association and was previously the president of the Federal Bar Association.
