Duane L. Coker

Duane L. Coker is the founding shareholder of Coker, Robb & Cannon, Family Lawyers, in Denton, Texas, a respected boutique law firm dedicated exclusively to family law. With decades of legal experience, he has established himself as a trusted advocate for individuals and families navigating some of life’s most difficult transitions, including divorce, child custody, guardianship and probate matters.

Mr. Coker’s educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and journalism from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law. His professional excellence has also been recognized locally, having been voted Best Family Lawyer in Best of Denton County.

Board-certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Coker is recognized for his depth of knowledge and commitment to excellence in this challenging practice area. He is also a member of the Texas Bar College and a certified ad litem. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Denton County Collaborative Professionals and is an active supporter of the Denton County Alternative Dispute Program, reflecting his dedication to resolving disputes effectively and with compassion.

Beyond his practice, Mr. Coker has made significant contributions to the legal community. He has spoken extensively at local and regional continuing legal education programs on family law, probate and guardianship issues. His peers have recognized his leadership, electing him president of the Denton County Bar Association for 2012–2013, as well as past president of its Family Law Section. He is also a Senior Founding Fellow of the Texas College of Collaborative Law and a member of both the Collin County Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of Wisconsin.
