James B. Kennedy, Jr.

James B. Kennedy Jr., the founder of The Law Firm of James Kennedy P.L.L.C. in El Paso, Texas, focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death. He has handled many cases involving work injuries, construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents and brain and spine injuries. He also handles personal injury cases in which people were injured or killed due to defective products and employment-related cases in which people were fired from their job in violation of their legal rights.

Mr. Kennedy is admitted to practice in state courts in Texas, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for New Mexico, the U.S. District Court for Nevada and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. He has been board-certified in personal injury law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Having taken cases to trial in Texas and New Mexico state courts as well as federal courts, Mr. Kennedy has the skill and experience to take cases all the way to judgment when necessary. However, he also has experience with alternative dispute resolution methods, such as arbitration, through which he has negotiated numerous cases to a settlement favorable for his clients without the expense and uncertainty of going to trial.

Mr. Kennedy is a 1994 honors graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, he graduated with special honors from the University of Texas at Austin.
