An El Paso native, Ms. Mendez completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at El Paso, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. She went on to further pursue her interest in law by earning her Juris Doctor degree from the St. Mary's University School of Law, located in San Antonio, Texas. Commencing her legal journey, she worked for a prominent defense law firm for Nine years and then decided to establish her own law firm.
Ms. Mendez’s journey from a defense firm lawyer to a plaintiff’s trial attorney demonstrates her tenacity, passion and commitment to justice. With a desire to provide more elaborate legal services to her clients, she joined forces with an esteemed colleague to form Flores Mendez Law. She is licensed to practice law in the states of Texas and New Mexico and is admitted before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico.
An active member of the legal community, Ms. Mendez is affiliated with many prominent legal associations such as the El Paso Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas (Women and the Law Section – board member), the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and Foundation, the American Association of Justice, and the El Paso Executive Women Lions Club. Furthermore, she was bestowed the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award by the El Paso Executive Women Lions Club in recognition of her humanitarian values and actions.
