Ruth A. McChesney

Ruth McChesney is a founding member of the business immigration boutique firm McChesney Kolly PLLC. She brings a rich background in immigration law, accounting, and business development (establishing, growing, and selling businesses) to her clients. She has filed thousands of petitions for employers, employees, and families, representing clients from Fortune 100/Global 500 companies, professionals, engineers, architects, investors, and individuals of extraordinary ability, among others. She has decades of experience overseeing a high-volume business, consular, and naturalization practice. Ruth also has over 30 years of experience managing medium-sized firms and companies, is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of Texas, is a Charter member of the State Bar of Texas's Immigration and Nationality Section and is a Fellow of the State Bar of Texas. She is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, and the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2020, Ruth along with her law partner Faye Kolly, was awarded Mexico’s highest overseas recognition, the National Ohtli award by Mexico’s Ambassador to the U.S. (in Washington, D.C.) for their work on their amicus curiae brief to the Supreme Court of the United States on behalf of the government of Mexico and in support of the rights of DACA recipients in the Department of Homeland Security v. Regents of the University of California (2020).
