Ryan Thornhill

Since joining Nelson Law Group PC in Flower Mound, Texas, in October 2020, Ryan Thornhill has quietly built a reputation as a versatile and compassionate advocate. His practice area encompasses family law, civil and business matters, personal injury, settlement negotiations and appeals. Armed with a B.A. in strategic communications from Texas Christian University, he left his Springfield, Missouri, roots – and a family steeped in legal tradition – to carve out his own path in North Texas. In 2019, he earned his J.D. from the University of North Texas at Dallas.

Mr. Thornhill’s first brush with litigation came as a judicial intern for Judge Bonnie Lee Goldstein and Judge Ken Tapscott in Dallas, where he polished his research and courtroom skills. He then sharpened his practice as a law clerk and associate attorney at a busy Dallas firm, juggling civil disputes and family-law heartaches. Those early years taught him that every case carries a story – and that storytelling is as essential as statutes and precedent.

At the firm, Mr. Thornhill applies that lesson daily, guiding clients through personal injury claims, business and civil matters, family-law transitions, appeals and settlement negotiations.
