Robert S. Guest

Robert S. Guest is the co-founder and senior partner of Guest and Gray Law Firm in Forney, Texas. He dedicates his entire practice to defending individuals accused of misdemeanor and felony offenses in Kaufman, Rockwall and the surrounding counties. His areas of focus range from DWI defense and drug possession/distribution cases to assault, domestic violence charges, probation violations and expunction petitions.

Whether the matter is a traffic citation or a high-stakes criminal indictment, Mr. Guest applies the same meticulous preparation, candid communication and tenacious advocacy that have earned him the highest ratings in the region. For more than 20 years, he has served Texans in some of the most challenging criminal, civil and family law matters, first as a Wichita County public defender, then as an assistant district attorney in Bowie County and later as chief misdemeanor prosecutor in Kaufman County. This dual perspective on both sides of the courtroom gives him an unparalleled understanding of how the state builds its cases and, more importantly, how to dismantle them.

One of Mr. Guest’s signature achievements came in Rockwall County, where he successfully suppressed 100 pounds of marijuana, setting the local record for the largest quantity of drugs ever excluded from evidence. Faced with decades in prison, his client walked out of court an innocent man. This landmark victory exemplifies Mr. Guest’s strategic acumen and steadfast dedication to protecting his clients’ freedom.

Mr. Guest obtained his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2002, following his graduation with honors from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2000, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics. He is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
