The founding and managing attorney at Freeman Law, PLLC, situated in Frisco, Texas, Jason B. Freeman is an experienced tax law litigator, who also takes on white collar criminal defense issues. Some of the cases he has taken on include federal and state controversies, white collar and financial disputes, IRS audits, tax and regulatory compliance, money laundering, tax evasion, domestic and international tax planning, and cryptocurrency and blockchain matters.

Mr. Freeman also takes on complex business and commercial disputes including matters such as fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secrets, complex probate litigation, civil RICO and so on. While in law school, Mr. Freeman was the articles and notes editor of the Texas International Law Journal. He also received the Tom C. Clark and Jesse P. Luton Endowed Law Merit Scholarships.

Active in the legal field, Mr. Freeman was the chairman of the Texas Society of CPAs and was previously the chairman of the Dallas Society of CPAs. He has also taught a course on federal income taxation at the SMU’s Dedman School of Law. Mr. Freeman has written extensively and published his work in renowned journals. He also writes regularly on tax and white-collar matters for Forbes.

In honor of his remarkable work, Mr. Freeman has received many accolades, including being named Young CPA of the Year by the Texas Society of CPAs and Committee Member of the Year by the Dallas CPA Society. He was named one of the Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine and featured in TSCPA’s “A Day in the Life.”

The U.S. News and World Report named Mr. Freeman to its Best Lawyers in America list. He was the recipient of the American Bar Association’s On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers in America award.
