Leah W. Coulter

Leah W. Coulter represents clients primarily in Collin County, Texas.  She dedicates her practice to handling family law cases that involve divorce and child custody.

A legal matter involving the family can cause confusion, stress, and concern for all involved.  Keeping that in mind, Ms. Coulter takes a compassionate approach to her clients.  She understands that every divorce or child custody dispute presents unique circumstances.  Developing a customized legal strategy, Ms. Coulter guides her clients through the legal process, thoughtfully addressing their concerns along the way.

Some issues may be resolved efficiently through mediation and negotiations.  Ms. Coulter has helped many families find a solution through these time and cost saving options. There are, however, disputes that must go to court.  Over the course of her career, Ms. Coulter has successfully resolved case in both bench and jury trials.  No matter which course the issue follows, she remains a steadfast advocate for her client's best interests.

Active in the legal community, Ms. Coulter is a member of the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section and the Collin County Bar Association's Family Law Section.  She is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor reserved for the top ⅓ of 1% of Texas attorneys.  Ms. Coulter earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Hardin-Simmons University and received a Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School, where she was a member of the Harvey M. Richey Moot Court Society and the Order of Barristers.
