Justin M. Sparks

The founder and owner of Sparks Law Firm in Fort Worth, Texas, Justin M. Sparks is a reputed trial attorney with over 15 years of legal experience. Mr. Sparks devotes his practice to providing exceptional legal counsel and aggressive representation to those who stand accused of or are under investigation for any type of felony or misdemeanor offense. A former assistant district attorney with the Tarrant County district attorney’s office, Mr. Sparks has invaluable insight into the criminal justice system from both sides. During this tenure, he closely worked on grand jury investigations, plea negotiations, jury trials and hearings. This experience allows him to better anticipate the prosecution’s tactics, enabling him to devise the most effective defense strategy possible on behalf of those he serves.

Having represented thousands of cases and appeared for hundreds of court trials, Mr. Sparks has helped defend the rights and liberties of countless individuals across Texas, securing numerous acquittals and dismissals in both state and federal courts. A 2004 graduate of Baylor University – Hankamer School of Business, where he secured a double major B.B.A. degree in economics and real estate, Mr. Sparks obtained his Juris Doctor in 2007 from Texas A&M University School of Law (formerly Texas Wesleyan University School of Law). Along with practicing before state courts in Texas, he is admitted to practice before all the U.S. District Courts in the state as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Highly active in his legal community, Mr. Sparks is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Tarrant County Bar Association and the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, among his other professional affiliations.
