Attorney Rod Tanner is the managing shareholder of Tanner and Associates, PC in Fort Worth, Texas. A 1973 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Tanner attended The University of Texas School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1976. The State Bar of Texas admitted him to practice that same year, and he is also admitted to practice before all U.S. District Courts in Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th and 10th Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Widely regarded as a preeminent labor and employment attorney, Mr. Tanner has won precedent-setting cases involving employment contracts and union representation rights. He has served in leadership roles for a number of professional organizations. He is a Co-Chair of the National Employment Lawyers Association Labor Law Practice Group, a past Chair of the State Bar of Texas Labor and Employment Law Section, a former Director of the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee, and a founding member and former director of the Texas Employment Lawyers Association.

In addition, Mr. Tanner has many scholarly publications, and he has made numerous presentations throughout the country on a variety of topics related to labor and employment law. He is also an active member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, and Tarrant County (TX) Bar Association.

Recognized for his professionalism and expertise, Mr. Tanner is included in The Best Lawyers in America for the past 27 years, and Texas Super Lawyers recognized him as one of the Top 100 Texas Lawyers in 2019-2020.
