Seth McCloskey

Seth McCloskey is a partner at the truck accident and personal injury law firm of Laird & McCloskey in Fort Worth, Texas.  Beyond his role as managing attorney, Mr. McCloskey directly handles the firm's active catastrophic injury trial docket.  Mr. McCloskey has dedicated his entire career to protecting the innocent victims of motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, construction accidents, product liability, wrongful death and medical malpractice cases. 

Board-certified in both Personal Injury Trial Law and Truck Accident Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, Mr. McCloskey is one of only a handful of attorneys in the state with a board-certifications in both of these areas. 

A magna cum laude graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, Mr. McCloskey obtained a double major in political science and speech communication prior to becoming a lawyer. He then enrolled in the University of Toledo College of Law, where he received the prestigious Reinberger Honors Fellowship and obtained his Juris Doctor in 2009.

Since starting his career, Mr. McCloskey has successfully tried more than 200 cases to verdict and has tirelessly fought large corporations, including trucking and insurance companies. His tenacious nature and commitment to protecting his clients’ rights serve as a testament to his unwavering pursuit of justice.  In 2022 and 2024, Mr. McCloskey has had two record-setting Texas verdicts.  

He was honored by Lawdragon with his inclusion in their 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers list, has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America as well as the Nations Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel and recognized as Litigator of the Year by the American Institute of Trial Lawyers.  He is a member of the American Board of Trial Adovcates, is on the Board of Regents of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, and is a member of the Texas and Oklahoma Bars and the Texas Bar College.
