Christie Williams owns The Law Offices of Christie Williams, a firm dedicated to the defense of clients in Federal and State courts.  Board Certified in Criminal Law since 1999, Christie’s career has included well over 100 criminal trials in a variety of serious criminal cases including sexual assault, money laundering, insurance fraud, capital murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, bribery, conspiracy, environmental violations and health care fraud. Christie spent six years as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Dallas County before starting defense practice in 1999.  She spent 20 years as the managing partner of Mills & Williams, LLP prior to starting her own firm.

In addition to her legal practice, Christie has taught trial advocacy courses at Southern Methodist University Law School, Baylor Law School and the criminal defense trial skills course at the Center for American and International Law.  She is frequently asked to share her trial experiences and techniques with her fellow criminal defense lawyers. 

Christie serves as the Secretary for the Austin Chapter of the Women in Criminal Defense Association, WWCDA.  She also served as the Parliamentarian for the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and as a board member for 12 years. Texas Monthly has named her a Texas “Super Lawyer” every year since 2003. In addition, Christie has twice been recognized by the National Law Journal on the "Top 40 under 40" list, recognizing the best trial lawyers in the United States. Christie is a 1992 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.
