Steven R. Miears

Steve Miears specializes in criminal defense and criminal appeals. He is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both criminal law and criminal appellate law. Steve is one of a select group of attorneys authorized to represent persons that are facing the death penalty. Steve has over forty years of trial experience in jury trials representing persons charged with all types of charges, including capital murder, sexual assault of a child, DWI, drug possession, and family violence. In addition to his trial work, Steve represents persons on appeal of their criminal cases. His work includes many published opinions from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, the Second Court of Appeals, the Sixth Court of Appeals, and the Fifth Court of Appeals. He also provides representation in writs of habeas corpus and applications for DNA testing.

With offices in Grapevine, Texas, Steve's practice covers courts in the North Texas counties of Tarrant, Dallas, Collin, Fannin, Hunt and Grayson.
