“Superlative mediator. Very very smart and the clients love him.”
“Excellent mediator. Truly top 5% material. Strongly recommend.”
“Andrew has mediated multiple cases for my clients. I have always been highly satisfied with his outstanding mediation services. He is a consummate professional.”
“I’m writing you to recommend Andrew Tolchin to the Super Lawyers list for ADR. Andrew is a highly accomplished alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practitioner, widely regarded for his impeccable ADR legal skills. I’ve used his services and know he’s as good or better than ADR professionals you do list as Super Lawyers that I’ve also used. Unlike virtually anyone else listed, Andrew is also at the forefront of leadership in both the ADR field and the State Bar of Texas. He is currently an elected Board Member of the State Bar of Texas representing the attorneys of Harris County (Houston), the district with the most attorneys in the state. This is his second elected term on that Board, and he previously represented the attorneys from just south and west of Houston as well. I would venture Andrew is the only two-time director who has never been listed as a Super Lawyer. He serves on the Board of the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, he served years on the Board of the State Bar’s ADR Section Council, and he now represents the board of the State Bar to that very Council as its advisor. (I cannot name higher level ADR organizations in Texas). He started and manages the largest voluntary bar association in Texas, “Texas Lawyers Bar Association,” a digital platform with approximately 15,000 Texas attorney members. In Andrew’s platform, over the last seven years there have been millions of attorney-to-attorney interactions. It is not a stretch to say that for the thousands of attorneys who use his platform, Andrew revolutionized their law practices. Andrew’s website reflects that he’s presented CLE at some of the most selective ADR CLEs in Texas. Per his website, "He spoke on mediation techniques as a panelist at the 2019 Advanced ADR CLE, on ethics in mediation at the 2019 Texas Bar College CLE, on professional responsibility for the 2020 Houston Bar Association (HBA) Professional Responsibility Committee CLE, and on the topic of Zoom mediation strategy for a 2020 HBA ADR Section CLE.” The Chair of the Board named Andrew the “Outstanding Third Year Director,” which is the single most prestigious award for the entire state bar board of directors. He was similarly recognized at the SBOT Annual Meeting with the Judge Sam Williams Award. (https://www.texasbar.com/Content/NavigationMenu/AboutUs/LocalBarServices/LocalBarServices/JudgeSamWilliamsAwardPastRecipients.pdf). I would venture Andrew is the only recipient of either award who is both eligible yet never named Super Lawyer. To me, he ranks at or near the top in comparison to the fine and accomplished attorneys presently listed as ADR Super Lawyers. I have never seen someone so qualified in their field and bar leadership not listed. Please consider Andrew Tolchin for the list.”
“Exceptional mediator. Andrew has gotten some of the most contentious cases I have had resolved in a day.”
