B. Todd Patterson

As an early pioneer in the intellectual property market in Houston, Texas, B. Todd Patterson is a partner at Patterson + Sheridan. An extremely skilled attorney with almost three decades of experience, his practice areas include the following: brand protection, technology, licensing and intellectual property transactions, litigation and dispute resolution, oil and gas services, nanotechnology, medical devices and procedures, internet, electronics and semiconductor technologies, communications technologies, chemicals, and biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Patterson is admitted to practice in the state of Texas. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

After graduating from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in 1990, Mr. Patterson attended The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. In 1993, he graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law.

He is a member of the Houston Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the South Texas College of Law Alumni Association, the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Baylor University Leadership Council. Mr. Patterson is a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a Master of the Bench for the Nancy F. Atlas Intellectual Property Inn of Court and a member of The Markman Process and Claim Construction within The Sedona Conference.
