A partner at Farrar & Ball, LLP, Bill Ogden focuses his practice on complex civil litigation. Mr. Ogden has been admitted to practice in Texas since 2013, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
A significant portion of Mr. Ogden’s practice consists of personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Here, he assists people who have been harmed due to the negligence of other parties, and his cases have included motor vehicle crashes as well as those arising out of defective products, such as medical devices, drugs, industrial equipment, tires and air bags. Mr. Ogden has also handled general civil litigation matters, including defamation cases on behalf of plaintiffs against the radio talk show host Alex Jones involving his statements about the December 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School mass murders.
As an undergraduate, Mr. Ogden attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, and in 2009, he obtained a Bachelor of Science. He remained in the state for his legal education at South Texas College of Law Houston, and he won several awards as a participant in mock trial competitions. While he was in law school, Mr. Ogden was a summer associate at Farrar & Ball, LLP, and he became a full-time associate at the firm after being awarded his Juris Doctor in 2013. Highly regarded by his fellow members of the bar for his successful track record and his high degree of ethics, Mr. Ogden’s honors have included being named to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40.

- Along with Wesley Ball we secured a verdict for $2,580,000 on behalf of Herbert Willoughby in a defective vehicle lawsuit against Defendants Swift Transportation and Jason Cribbs. The verdict was the 44th largest in Texas in 2015, 2015
- Mr. Ogden, along with his law partners Wes Ball, Kyle Farrar and Mark Bankston, represented Neil Heslin and Scarlet Lewis in a defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress case against Alex Jones' conspiracy theory media company Free Speech Systems LLC a/k/a Infowars. In August of 2022, after a two week jury trial, the Travis County, Texas jury awarded the Plaintiffs $49,300,000.00 in past and future damages. , 2022
- Mr. Ogden was lead counsel in a wrongful death case resulting from the negligent discharge of a firearm. The case is styled Weed v. Campos, and was tried in Harris County, TX, in June of 2022. The jury awarded the plaintiffs $70,000,000 for past and future damages. , 2022
- Alex Jones & Infowars Litigation I currently represent 5 parents who lost children in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012, in lawsuits for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress against notorious conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and Infowars.com In 2021 a Gravis Coiunty judge granted default judgment in an Order on Plaintiffs Motion for Sanctions in all 4 cases. , 2019
- In re TPC Group LLC Multi District Litigation. Appointed by the Court as lead counsel charged with handling thousands of claims associated with the November 2019 Explosion, 2020
- ITC INDUSTRIAL FIRE LITIGATION Currently Mr. Ogden represents 1,800 individuals who suffered injuries as a result of the Intercontinental Terminals Company, LLC industrial fire which began on March 17, 2019. In addition to his personal injury clients, he also represent over a dozen business who were impacted by the industrial fire, including claims for lost wages, business interruption, and nuisance. After serving as a member of the Plaintiff's steering committee, serving on the discovery committee and settlement committee, US Judge Kenneth Hoyt appointed Mr. Ogden as one of three co-lead lawyers for the entire plaintiffs consolidated action., 2019
