    Attorney Profile

Focusing her practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, and with a primary emphasis on medical malpractice, Bonnie Christie is a partner at Brown, Christie & Green. Based in Houston, Texas, she provides representation to clients throughout the state as well as in Louisiana who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses due to the negligence of other parties. Admitted to practice before all Texas and Louisiana state courts, Ms. Christie is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the U.S District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, as well as before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.

The types of cases that Ms. Christie has handled both in court and through mediation have included surgical errors, misdiagnoses, hospital negligence and nursing home negligence, and she has been able to get good results on behalf of her clients. Prior to joining Brown, Christie & Green, she was an in-house counsel at the Government Employees Insurance Company, better known as GEICO, where she handled subrogation claims. Because of this experience, Ms. Christie is often able to anticipate the types of defense tactics insurance companies will often employ when she faces them in court.

As an undergraduate, Ms. Christie attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and received a bachelor's degree in 2006. Her legal education was then obtained at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, and she was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2010. In addition to her experience as a subrogation attorney, Ms. Christie also worked for a Louisiana personal injury firm and was a supervising attorney in a complex multidistrict litigation matter.
