    Attorney Profile

Byron C. Alfred is a Board Certified Personal Injury Trial Attorney, who focuses his practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Based in Houston, he provides representation to clients throughout the greater metropolitan area. As an undergraduate, Mr. Alfred attended the University of Houston. He was a member of the school’s varsity football team, and he was named an all-conference offensive lineman in his freshman year before receiving a Bachelor of Science in political science and economics in 2007. Mr. Alfred then went on to pursue his legal education at South Texas College of Law on an academic scholarship, and he participated and won championships in several regional and national moot court competitions before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 2012.

Throughout his young career, Mr. Alfred has been able to obtain over $85 million dollars in jury verdicts and settlements for his clients who have been harmed as a result of the negligence of other parties. Much of his caseload has involved oil refinery accidents, and in one such wrongful death trial, he won a jury award in excess of $44 million on behalf of the surviving family members of a man who was killed in an accident at a facility in Beaumont, Texas, that was owned by Exxon Mobil Corporation. This and other successful results have earned him a great deal of recognition from his fellow members of the bar, including a 10.0 “Superb” peer-review rating through Avvo.

Other honors that Mr. Alfred has received include his membership in the invitation-only Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has also been named to the National Black Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 list. Admitted to practice in Texas since 2013, Mr. Alfred is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and several other professional groups.
