Charles received his undergraduate degree from Columbia with double majors in history and political science.  Charles was awarded his law degree by the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated cum laude.  Charles has had the privilege of learning from federal judges, having interned for the Honorable Xavier Rodriguez (United States District Judge, Western District of Texas) and clerked for the Honorable Debra M. Brown (Chief United States District Judge, Northern District of Mississippi).
