Charles Maurice Stam is a trial lawyer focusing on catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims that present complex legal, medical, scientific, and technical issues. A versatile, tested, and creative legal strategist, Charles also represents government entities in affirmative litigation and claimants in mass action.
Charles received his undergraduate education at Columbia before matriculating to the University of Texas School of Law, where he obtained a J.D. with honors. He then clerked for the Honorable Debra M. Brown (Chief Judge, United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi) and was later awarded an LL.M. with honors from Temple University Beasley School of Law’s renowned trial advocacy program.
In 2024, the firm’s first year in existence, Charles obtained two of the largest personal injury settlements in Texas according to TopVerdict: the largest trip & fall (seventh overall in Harris County) and the largest workplace negligence (third overall in Tarrant County). With recognition from Super Lawyers, The National Trial Lawyers, and Avvo, Charles is a Multimillion Dollar Advocates Forum member, a Texas Bar College fellow, and a Texas Trial Lawyers Association board director.
