Courtney Stricklen

With nearly ten years of legal experience, Courtney Stricklen functions as the senior associate attorney at Stephens, Reed, and Armstrong, located in Houston, Texas. Clients rely on her services in matters related to:

Ms. Stricklen received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Houston in 2008. She attended the South Texas College of Law Houston and earned her Juris Doctor in the year 2013. She became licensed to practice in all the state courts of Texas the following year.

A native of Houston, Texas, Ms. Stricklen was delegated as a member of the Diversity in the Profession Committee of the State Bar of Texas, where she is currently still serving. She also has held memberships in the American Subcontractors Association – Houston Chapter, the Texas Association of Builders, the Hispanic Contractors Association de San Antonio, the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin, the Coating Society of the Houston Area and the Blue Book Network.

A skilled litigator, Ms. Stricklen has a successful track record both in the courtroom and at the negotiating table. Over the course of her career, she has effectively represented insurance carriers, small business owners, homeowners, construction and remediation companies, large general contractors and subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, and individual owners and developers.

Ms. Stricklen’s deftness has compelled legal and educational organizations to request her as a speaker and presenter. She also has experience working as an English educator at the Alief Independent School District based in southwest Houston, Texas.
