Serving families across North Houston and the surrounding communities, Craig Haston is a dedicated attorney assisting clients in matters of family law. Handling cases involving divorce, child support, custody, visitation and adoption, he provides reliable representation from his office at The Haston Law Firm, P.C., in Houston, Texas. Board-certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, he approaches each case with compassion, safeguarding his clients and their families’ future.
In his practice, Mr. Haston emphasizes a collaborative approach, fostering an environment conducive to peaceful resolutions for all parties involved. Since becoming a certified mediator, he has adeptly guided hundreds of families through the mediation process, helping them navigate complex emotional landscapes. His commitment to facilitating understanding and cooperation is further enhanced by his certification as an arbitrator by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) in 2018.
Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Haston went on to pursue his legal education at South Texas College of Law Houston. While at law school, he served as a student teacher, helping mentor students in advanced trial advocacy. He received his Juris Doctor in 1992 and, in the same year, was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. Today, he utilizes his membership with the bar to speak frequently at legal conferences and present workshops for fellow attorneys.
In the legal community, Mr. Haston stays active through his memberships in the AAML and the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialist. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section and the Texas Family Law Foundation, where he works to promote family legislation in Texas. Previously, he chaired the Houston Bar Association Family Law Section and the Gulf Coast Family Law Specialists, actively shaping Texas family law policy and contributing extensively to the development of family law.
