Dax Deason is the founder and managing attorney of Deason Law, P.C., a law firm with offices in San Luis Obispo CA and Houston, TX. The firm focuses its practice on corporate immigration matters and employment law. Mr. Deason represents corporations with a wide variety of immigration matters, which include work visa sponsorship of key employees under the J-1, E, H-1B, H-2A and H-2B, L-1, O-1, TN and many other temporary visa programs, permanent residency sponsorship of key employees via the PERM program and the EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 green card programs, representation during government audits, HR and compliance training, I-9 counseling, policy review, merger and acquisition due diligence and representation during litigation in federal, state or administrative courts.
With native fluency in Spanish, Mr. Deason is well-equipped to represent multinational companies from Latin America, corporations that mostly operate in labor-intensive markets and other clientele who predominantly speak Spanish. He has also become one of few attorneys in the United States with expertise in the area of H-2A and H-2B visa sponsorship. Each year, the firm helps many farmers and agricultural companies to employ hundreds of agricultural workers from Mexico and other countries.
Mr. Deason is a 1999 B.A. Spanish graduate of Emory University. He later attended St. Mary’s University School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 2002. During his time in law school, he was part of an exchange program in international law that sent him to the University of Barcelona School of Law in 2001.
Mr. Deason is board-certified in Immigration and Nationality law and also in Labor and Employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is licensed to practice law in the important markets of Texas, California and D.C. and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas.
