Details
Dax Deason is the founder and managing attorney of Deason Law in San Luis Obispo CA, focusing his practice on immigration and employment law. He represents corporations and aids them with a plethora of legal matters, including managing high volumes of work visas for foreign nationals, handling administrative lawsuits before various governmental agencies and much more.
With just under two decades of experience in the legal field, Mr. Deason is well-versed in the many issues faced by his corporate clientele, from defending Equal Employment Opportunity Commission lawsuits to transferring various types of visas to the United States. He is board-certified in Immigration and Nationality law and also in Labor and Employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
With fluency in both English and Spanish, Mr. Deason is well-equipped to handle international matters for his clients – corporations that mostly operate in labor-intensive markets – and can communicate effectively with individuals in Latin American countries. He became one of few attorneys in the United States to successfully help agricultural companies sponsor H-2A foreign workers from Peru, Chile and Mexico to meet the demands of the seasonal harvest.
Mr. Deason is a 1999 B.A. Spanish graduate of Emory University. He later attended St. Mary’s University School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 2002. During his time in law school, he was part of an exchange program in international law that sent him to the University of Barcelona School of Law in 2001.
