Donna M. Aversano is an attorney and partner at Aversano & Gold in Houston, Texas. She is a seasoned litigator who focuses her practice on catastrophic personal injury and medical malpractice matters all over the State of Texas. She has a special interest in traumatic and acquired brain injury, particularly in anesthesia malpractice and birth trauma cases.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Aversano went on to acquire her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. She was also a candidate for a Master’s degree in public administration.
Ms. Aversano has been admitted to practice law in the State of Texas since 1992. Throughout her career, she has represented victims of catastrophes such as automobile and trucking crashes, medical malpractice, oil field and construction site injuries, defective medical devices/products, and more.
Before entering the area of personal injury law solely on behalf of plaintiffs, Ms. Aversano was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas representing doctors, nurses, and healthcare entities in lawsuits involving medical malpractice.
Outside of her law practice, Ms. Aversano is actively involved in the rescue, rehabilitation, and welfare of dogs and cats, with a particular love for the Dachshund breed. She volunteers with the animal rescue group Camo Rescue. She was also instrumental in creating the Nancy Perello Memorial Fund, a fund devoted to saving the lives of stray dogs and cats in the Houston area.
