Cassidy is an experienced high-staked litigator and arbitrator extending his service to his clients who need assistance in matters involving disputes, in the US and internationally, including complex commercial and white collar defense, contract and fraud cases, oil and gas, and business litigation.  Mr. Cassidy has extensive experience in government investigations, including the FCPA, as well as employment trials, qui tam, and noncompete matters for individuals and companies.  

First admitted to practice in Texas in 2001, and later in Illinois, Mr. Cassidy has litigated and argued cases in several federal courts across the state and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit as well.

Mr. Cassidy has a bachelor’s degree from the Michigan State University (James Madison College) and a master’s degree in philosophy and literature from the University of Warwick. He later attended The University of Texas at Austin School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctor in 2001.  At Texas, he was inducted into The Order Barristers.

Combining his experience in conducting investigations for organizations with his extensive knowledge about the False Claims Act and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, he represents both individuals and companies before federal law enforcement agencies. He is highly skilled in representing companies and individuals in U.S. employment law-related matters, and also has a proven track record for his litigation in qui tam issues.

Upon competition of the highly prestigious mentorship program, the Leadership Houston program, Mr. Cassidy has chaired a few sections in the Houston Bar Association, including the association’s Energy Law Section and the International Law Section as well.   • Won $1.2 million judgment for client in employment litigation trial held in the US District Court,  Southern District of Texas, Civ. Action No. 4:19-CV-2389, Raslyn Vobbin-Wooten v. Invesco Ltd. Et Al. , 2021
  • Reached a publicly available settlement for my client, Tatsoft LLC, resulting in a 7-figure judgment and nearly 2 million dollars in indemnities. The defendants were Schneider Electric and InduSoft LLC. Defendants settled moments before voir dire was to start. The settlement ended the case in Travis County District Court. The case, however, started in federal court in the Western District Texas, where Tatsoft prevailed on a forum non-conveniens motions that resulted in a dismissal of the federal suit, 2018
